Rail Travel

With the re-opening of the Stirling / Alloa railway line, after being closed for more than 40 year, the new Glasgow to Alloa service has exceeded all expectations carrying many more passengers than envisaged . This service  ensures that there is now a regular direct service from Glasgow Queen Street to Alloa which is only four miles from Tillicoultry. With a change at Stirling services are available to Edinburgh and of course the whole UK rail network.

Road Travel

With the extension of the M876 motorway and the completion of the new Clackmannanshire Bridge across the River Forth the Wee County now has very good access to the UK motorway network reducing journey times by up to 30 minutes. Both Edinburgh and Glasgow are now less than an hours travel time by road from Tillicoultry.

These improved transport links help in making Wyvis an ideal base from which to explore the two cities and the wonderful scenic surroundings.
